Who we are

Confession

We confess the faith of the Church of the Christ, as it was revealed in the Scripture and formalized in concepts during the time of the Church history.

We bring here a faith confess, by explaining and providing details of the Nicene-Constantinopole Creed statements.

We believe in only one God.

We believe in the Father, the keeper of everything, the source of all things, the seen and the unseen, creator and begetter. The one who, before the foundation of the world, had planned to make me His son, heir of the previously prepared kingdom.

We believe in the one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the one begotten of the Father before all ages, born and not made, true God of true God, Light from the Light, of one being with the Father. The one who out of love for us, human beings, has been embodied from the Holy Spirit and from Mary the Virgin, becoming true man like us. He put on the coat of the poor, equal with the poorest one of us. Who with humility and courage, meekness and boldness went on the cross on the days of Pilate of Pontius giving Himself to death, mockery and to the most terrible suffering, taking upon Himself the burden of the world: fragmentation, the sin and death. The one who rose on the third day – according to the Scripture - by defeating death and its sting, giving death back what belonged to it – an old life style under the burden of law and division. Who after He made Himself visible to the disciples many times, He ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father in glory and honor, in order to prepare a place for those who believe in Him. The Only One mediator for man as the High Priest in front of God. The one who will come again to judge the living and the dead, revealing His Kingdom, which will never end. Who made me His friend and His brother; Who gave me His body to eat and His blood to drink that we might have life; Who always is with us forever.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Maker of life, the one who proceeds from the Father, of one being with the Father and the Son; the worshiped and praised God, the Counselor sent on earth by the Son and the Father to work on the perfection of His holy ones; awesome and mysterious God who blows wherever and whenever He wants to; reason to be wondered by those who do not know either Him or His ways. Who guides us into all truth; Revealer of godly mysteries, teacher, confessor and fellow-worker with man. The one who uncovers Christ’s image in man; who gives freedom and love, light and life and the possibility for a new kind of communication: the communication into Holly Spirit. The one who baptizes those who ask for and those able to be life witnesses to the world and in Whom His gifts manifest powerfully, passionately and lovingly.

We confess a baptism unto forgiveness of sins and liberation from the yoke and burden of death, leaving behind an independent, selfish life style in order to adopt a new life of unity, freedom and love.

We believe in the one Holy Apostolic and Universal Church, and its authority given by Christ, whose head He is; which is the human-divine synthesis which manifests itself in the world like a new united humanity – as a new creation; which is the body of Christ and where His life flows in; the place where the person is a participant of a whole which is proof of its existence for the world and manifests itself by giving answers to the problems of Christians – making them be new transformed people who live in truth and love. Which offers teaching as an expression of its content, the Revelation which embodies wholly. Which in this way answers the existential problems of man, problems which are specific to a certain environment and context. Which cannot be identified either with an organization or institutional concept – official, apathetic and juridical – or with dissident Pharisaism of those who think they own the truth. Which gives each one in this world a paradoxical condition, a way similar to the one Christ walked in, a way which is characterized by suffering and its permanence, but in the same time accompanied with joy, peace and freedom.

We believe in wonders, which have been established together in secrecy and mystery as Christ left them, and have the character of a sign.

We believe Christ has left us here to be like a fiancée who prepares herself for the wedding, living in expectation for His Day, so that we understand better how to live intensely, walk on the same way and have the same condition like Him. When before that He came on earth, made Himself equal to me and gave me an understanding position and the experience of love and freedom.

We believe that Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Groping our way in the fragility of our understanding, we throw ourselves forward towards Him with faith in the same way as a servant who follows his master whom he loves and respects and who gave him dignity and nobility.

We await the resurrection of the dead and the coming life. We wait the wedding day in His kingdom, which we foresee from here. We speak with our whole heart: We believe, Lord. Help our unbelief.
